With Crunchbase, there are 3 distinct search options that allow you to find targeted results faster - Advanced Search, AI Search Builder, and Crunchbase Scout. We’ll dive into each of these below.

Advanced Search

With Advanced Search, you can customize your searches to find targeted results related to your specific search criteria. Choose from hundreds of filters to display what matters most to you, and uncover new opportunities faster than ever.

Access the search function from the Advanced Search dropdown in the top global navigation bar. Then, select what type of search you want to build.

Check out the categorized Filters at the top of the page; note that these are expandable and collapsible by clicking on the plus sign on the right.

Toggle from Filters to Query to access more filters. You can find a complete library of available filters HERE

Refine your search by adding specific filters, and watch your search results update in real time. Crunchbase Pro and Crunchbase Business customers can view up to 1,000 search results. If you’d like access to the complete Crunchbase dataset, please contact sales@crunchbase.com to discuss our API options.

Customize your columns to view the specific data you’re looking for, by clicking either the 3 dot menu on the right, or the arrow on the header of an existing column..

Save your search to revisit it later and be notified via email of new additions.

AI Search Builder

We’re leveraging AI to help you find the right results and search smarter in Crunchbase. Just type in what you're looking for, and watch as the AI search builder pulls in relevant filters and generates your search for you.

With AI search builder, you can search for all entities in Crunchbase - companies, investors, funding rounds, acquisitions, and more.

Navigate to AI Search builder from the Advanced Search dropdown in your top global navigation.

Just type in what you're looking for, and hit Enter. For our example, we’ll use the prompt “Virtual reality and augmented reality companies that recently raised funding”.

Our AI search builder will automatically pull in relevant filters from Crunchbase that match your search. If you’re satisfied with the results, click Show Results
