Crunchbase Scout is your trusted AI-powered research assistant, here to help you discover private companies and save time with quick summaries and searches. Maintaining our commitment to trustworthy, factual information, Crunchbase Scout will grow and deliver creative market analysis, personalized recommendations, and more, to transform how you make business decisions.
You can access Crunchbase Scout across all crunchbase.com surfaces. From the homepage, hover over the search bar, then click the expand icon to open up Crunchbase Scout.
On profiles across Crunchbase, you’ll see Crunchbase Scout at the bottom of the page.
Below, we’ve highlighted the core features of Crunchbase Scout:
1) Quick search
Search for specific profiles on Crunchbase, by typing in a company or person name, then hitting Enter. You’ll also see your viewing history, trending profiles on Crunchbase, and recommendations for other companies to check out, all from the dropdown menu that expands when you click into the search bar.
2) Create a natural language search
We’re leveraging AI to help you find the right results and search smarter in Crunchbase. Just type in what you're looking for, and watch as Crunchbase Scout uses natural language search to pull in relevant filters and generate your search for you.
As an example, you can type in something like “Find web3 companies that are likely growing right now.”
You can also select one of our recommended searches, directly under the search bar.
3) Save search results
Once Crunchbase Scout has provided you with your search results, click Save Search to save them. You can access all of your saved searches in My Dashboard to add more filters or create an alert on company changes.
4) Quick Summaries
Reduce your research time with quick summaries. You can ask Crunchbase Scout follow-up questions and dive deeper into search results and profiles.
Examples of this would be, “What’s their business model?” or “Tell me about the founders.”
5) Message history
Crunchbase Pro and Business customers can view their message history with Crunchbase Scout, on the left-hand side of the feature. You can rename your messages, or delete them, by clicking the arrow button on the right of the thread title.
