With Crunchbase’s Predictions and Insights API package, you have access to the following fields.
 

Growth and Heat Score

Growth and Heat Scores are built on the foundation of Crunchbase’s proprietary private company data, AI-powered analysis, and aggregated usage data from Crunchbase’s users, and provide a score ranging from 0-100 on company growth and/or market attention. 

Growth Score Ranges from 0-100, quantifies a private company’s growth using a combination of predictive and historical data, including funding, headcount, operations, market share, financial, customer growth, M&A activity, and investor history. 
Heat Score Ranges from 0-100, quantifies market interest in a company, based on Crunchbase profile activity and recent media coverage. 

Growth Insights

Growth Insights quickly assesses a company's growth potential and determines which companies merit further exploration and due diligence.

Recently Raised Funding Funding or investment recently received.
Financial Growth Increases in revenue, sales, earnings, profit margins, dividends, return on investment, stock performance, commercial contracts, and other key financial metrics.
Financial Decline Declines in revenue, sales, earnings, profit margins, dividends, return on investment, stock performance, commercial contracts, and other financial metrics, including bankruptcy.
Headcount Growth Hiring sprees and workforce expansions.
Headcount Reduction Lay-offs, workforce reductions, and hiring freezes.
Customer Growth Increases in the number of customers or users.
Customer Decline Decreases in the number of customers or users.
Product Usage Growth Increased product engagement with existing or new features (e.g., WAU, website traffic, app downloads, etc.).
Product Usage Decline Decrease in product engagement of existing or new features. (e.g., WAU, website traffic, app downloads, etc.)
Market Share Expansion Growth in market share and entry into new markets or industries.
Market Share Decline Reductions in market share and exits from markets or industries.
Operations Expansion Acquisitions of new facilities, enhancements to existing facilities, and expansions into new regions (e.g., expanding services to Europe).
Operations Contraction Reductions or sales of facilities (e.g., selling a building) and exits from regions (e.g., ceasing services in Europe).
Merger or Acquisition Includes mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
Strategic Investment Funding provided or invested by this company into other organizations.

News Insights

News Insights are built on the foundation of Crunchbase's proprietary private company data and leverage LLMs to categorize and monitor company-related news events.

New Offices Domestic and/or international new office openings.
Partnership Announcements New partnerships, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and commercial contracts.
Product Launches Product launches.
Leadership and HR Changes New leadership hires, leadership promotions, leadership departures, and employee headcount increase.
Layoffs or Restructuring Cost reduction, operational efficiency improvements, restructuring plans, and employee headcount reduction.

Products and Services Insights are built on the foundation of Crunchbase's proprietary private company data and leverage LLMs to generate descriptions about a company’s offerings. These serve as the basis for Crunchbase’s Competitors and Micro-industries. 

New Offices Domestic and/or international new office openings.
Partnership Announcements New partnerships, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and commercial contracts.
Product Launches Product launches.
Leadership and HR Changes New leadership hires, leadership promotions, leadership departures, and employee headcount increase.
Layoffs or Restructuring Cost reduction, operational efficiency improvements, restructuring plans, and employee headcount reduction.

Competitors Data

Crunchbase Competitors are built on Crunchbase's proprietary private company data, combining clustering of our products and services data, LLM labeling/evaluation, and model classification to generate a ranked list of companies that truly compete, providing a Competitor Score and reasons for why the paired companies overlap across core products and services.

Organization Similarity Direct output of who a specific company competes with. 
Competitive Score Score (ranging from 0.01 to 1.0) reflects the strength of that company relative to its competitors. 
Geographic Overlap Geographic overlap that helps contextualize competitive positioning by various regions or globally. 
Category Overlap Shared industries that, at the market level, help contextualize the competitive pairing. 
Product Similarities Similar products that help, at the product and service level,  contextualize the competitive pairing.

Micro-Industries

Micro-industries are a dynamic, granular classification layer built on Crunchbase's proprietary Products & Services data, combining AI-driven clustering and LLM refinement to organize companies by what they actually build.

Industries  Includes an output of all industries that contain this micro-industry. 
Micro-Industry Name Descriptive name for the micro-industry (i.e. Agentic AI, which has additional micro-industries of Planning and Reasoning Agents, Tooling Agents, MCP Servers and more).
