Social Authentication on Crunchbase

Registered Crunchbase users must authenticate their user accounts with a social media account in order to make edits to Crunchbase. This requirement was implemented in order to both verify the identity of our users and maintain the quality of our dataset.

Once a Crunchbase account has undergone social authentication, the user will be able to conveniently login with one click rather than using a separate email and password combination.

Users are only required to authenticate with one of the following social media accounts:

  • LinkedIn
  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Google

Keep in mind, a social media account may only be associated with one single Crunchbase user account. If you see a message that your social account is already associated with another user, click here to learn more

Note: If single sign-on has been enabled for Crunchbase, team members will not be able to log in via their email address & password or social account.
