Crunchbase MCP works with supported AI tools and other MCP-compatible clients. Choose your tool below for step-by-step connection instructions.

ChatGPT

Connect Crunchbase to ChatGPT

1. Open the Crunchbase listing in the ChatGPT plugin directory. You can also open the Plugins tab and search for Crunchbase.
2. Select Crunchbase, then click Install.
3. Sign in with your Crunchbase account when prompted.
4. Select Allow to approve the connection.
5. Start a new chat and confirm that the Crunchbase plugin is available.

To test the connection, try asking:

What is Anthropic's total funding to date, and who led its most recent round?

The response should indicate that ChatGPT used Crunchbase to answer your question.

Note: If you use ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu, your workspace administrator controls which plugins are available. Contact your administrator if Crunchbase does not appear or cannot be installed.

Claude

Connect Crunchbase to Claude

1. Open Claude's connector directory and search for Crunchbase.
2. Select Crunchbase and follow the prompts to add the connector.
3. Sign in with your Crunchbase account.
4. Select Allow to approve the connection.
5. Start a new chat and test the connection using the example question above.

Once connected, Crunchbase will be available in Claude on the web, desktop, and mobile apps associated with your Claude account.

Note: Claude Team and Enterprise administrators may need to enable connectors before members can add them. Contact your Claude workspace administrator if Crunchbase is unavailable.

Perplexity 

Connect Crunchbase to Perplexity

1. Open Perplexity's connector settings and search for Crunchbase.
2. Select the Crunchbase connector, then click Add or Enable.
3. Sign in with your Crunchbase account.
4. Select Allow to approve access.
5. Return to Perplexity and confirm that Crunchbase appears as connected.

To use Crunchbase in a new thread, enter @Crunchbase in your question or select Crunchbase from Connectors and sources. Then try the example question above.

The response should cite Crunchbase as a source.

Note: If you use Perplexity Enterprise, your organization administrator may need to enable the Crunchbase connector first.

Connect Crunchbase to Semaverse

1. In Semaverse, select Agents from the left sidebar.
2. Search for Crunchbase.
3. Open the Crunchbase card under Market Intelligence and select the option to connect it.
4. Sign in with your Crunchbase account and select Allow.
5. Return to Agents and confirm that the Crunchbase card shows Connected.
6. Start a new task or workflow using Crunchbase and test the connection with the example question above.

The response should include information drawn from Crunchbase.

Using another AI tool
