Crunchbase MCP brings Crunchbase data into the AI tools and agents you already use. Research with Crunchbase in your LLM, or give an agent work to carry out on your behalf using the Crunchbase data available to your account.
You can set up connections and manage your MCP usage from Integrations → MCP.
Step 1: Choose where you want Crunchbase to work
Connect Crunchbase to the AI tool you already use. Select a supported client under Setup & Connections, or use your Crunchbase MCP endpoint to connect another MCP-compatible tool.

Step 2: Connect your Crunchbase account
Select Connect for your preferred AI tool and follow its setup instructions. Sign in with your Crunchbase account when prompted.
Once connected, your AI can work with the Crunchbase data available to your account.
Step 3: Ask a question — or give your agent a job
Use Crunchbase two ways: research with it in your LLM, or delegate work for an agent to carry out on your behalf.
Ask your LLM:
“Compare these companies by funding, growth, competitive position, and valuation.”
Give your agent a job:
“Monitor [Company] and its competitors. Alert me when something changes, with a brief explanation of why it needs my attention.”

Step 4: Keep track of your MCP usage
This is where your second screenshot becomes really useful.
Your Crunchbase plan includes monthly MCP usage. Under Usage, you can see how much you've used and when your current allowance resets.
Need more MCP usage?
Add Crunchbase Data Tokens to increase the amount of Crunchbase data your AI tools and agents can use each month.
Note: Data Tokens refresh on the first of each month. If you've added additional Data Tokens as a Crunchbase Pro or self-serve Business user, your add-on is billed monthly on your purchase date.
Troubleshooting Connection
Try the following:
- Confirm that your Crunchbase account has MCP access.
- Make sure you signed in with the correct Crunchbase and AI tool accounts.
- Check whether your organization's administrator must approve plugins or connectors.
- Disconnect and reconnect Crunchbase, then start a new chat.
- Contact your dedicated Crunchbase representative or submit a request to Crunchbase Support if the issue continues.
