I wonder how CRM works?

I recently saw an ad on CRM. I saw how it efficiently handle your workload. I guess CRM is very helpful for the people like me who have memory issues :/
I want to start using it and will surely try it. If you can help, I wanted to know that how it works. I mean would you make me understand how its algorithm works?
