How are Similar Companies different from Recommended Companies?

Similar Companies are shown based on the company profile that you’re currently viewing. Crunchbase’s machine learning model analyzes underlying data attributes, like industry and company descriptions, to surface similar accounts and possible competitors to help you discover related accounts to fill your pipeline.

Recommended Companies are personalized for you. These recommendations factor in your territory preferences and activity on Crunchbase to show account prospects that are targeted to your interests.

Note that similar companies and recommended companies do not influence each other - they are two different machine learning models.
