The new team admin features for Crunchbase Pro and Enterprise simplify managing access and permissions for multiple users from the same team and/or company. Team admins or 'owner, admins', can now quickly manage team roles and invites to the team - click here to learn how! Team owners or 'owner, admins' can quickly manage team subscriptions all in one place!
In this article, we'll be going over how a team owner or 'owner, admin' can manage subscriptions for the entire team.
To get started, use the top navigation, select Account and click Account Settings from the dropdown list. Once in the account settings screen, use the left navigation to select Team Members. In this screen, you'll see the column Seats Assigned - this is where you will see who has a Crunchbase Pro subscription and who does not. If the column states 'Free User' this means the individual does not have a subscription.
Add Seats
Seats refers to individual subscriptions. If you have 3 subscriptions but 4 team members who need to use Crunchbase Pro, you'll need to add another seat.
In this example, we'll see that there are 0 seats available in 'Pete's Team (Sales)', and 4 of the 5 Team Members already have Crunchbase Pro subscriptions - we'll need to buy one for Martha Lewis who recently joined the team.
From the Team Members section in Account Settings, click the Add Seats button.
Select the total number of seats you will need from the dropdown and click Confirm. In this example, we'll need 5 total seats. Note, your change will take effect immediately and your credit card will be charged the prorated difference.
After successfully adding a seat, you should see the number of seats available increase accordingly. In this example, 1 seat was added. You'll need to assign that seat manually - in the section below, we'll cover those steps!
Assign Seats
Take a look at the number of seats available - if you have any available, you should assign it!
From the Team Members section in Account Settings, locate the name of the individual you want to assign. In this example, we'll assign our 1 available seat to Martha Lewis.
Click the pencil icon next to the person's name and select Assign Crunchbase Pro Seat.
After assigning, you should see in the Seats Assigned column that the individual now has Crunchbase Pro listed. In this example, Martha Lewis now has Crunchbase Pro.
Remove Seats
From the Team Members section in Account Settings, locate the name of the individual you want to remove a seat from. In this example, we'll remove a seat from William Walker.
Click the pencil icon next to the person's name and select Remove Crunchbase Pro Seat.
Note, selecting Remove, will remove the individual from the team completely but will also remove the Crunchbase Pro seat from that person as well.
After removing, you should then see the number of seats available increase.
It's important to note that there will not be any action needed for the user who is being assigned a seat. Additionally, there is no notification in product or in email notifying the individual that a seat has been assigned or removed.
