When attempting to purchase or start a trial are you receiving an error message that references an "unexpected error"? Below are a few things to try to help get the issue resolved as quickly as possible.
First, try manually re-entering your information in the form. Sometimes errors can occur when using an autofill tool or if there's a mistake when typing.
Next, check to make sure the CVC code entered is correct. On your credit card or debit card is a 3 digit number on VISA®, MasterCard® and Discover® branded credit and debit cards. On your American Express® branded credit or debit card it is a 4 digit numeric code. To learn where these are located, click here.
Finally, try using a different card. In the event, there are insufficient funds on the original card its likely that an "unexpected error" message will appear as the credit card cannot be processed.
If you tried the steps above and the issue persists, please reach out to our support team at prosupport@crunchbase.com so we can further assist. When emailing support please include the following:
- The first and last name associated with the account you’re attempting to purchase for.
- Email associated with your Crunchbase user account (email used to log into Crunchbase).
- Last 4 digits of the credit card that you attempted to use.
- The name of the specific product or trial you're trying to start.

Due to the new directive, your payment may not get processed. At this time, the Crunchbase team is working to rectify this and will share an update in the coming weeks.
