Crunchbase profiles are organized into the following profile types:

A profile may have more than one profile type. In order to associate a person with an investment, their Person profile must also be marked as an “Individual Investor”.

A Person profile also noted as an "Individual Investor" can also be associated with or marked as a Partner in any lead funding rounds. Keep in mind, an organization profile (company or school) will need to have the profile type 'Investment Firm' selected. To learn how to update to 'Investment Firm' click here.

To update a profile type, click the three-dot icon, and select 'Edit' at the upper right corner of the profile.

Once in the edit view, navigate to the 'Manage Profile Type(s)' section located above the overview section:

After, click the box to mark and make the profile as an Individual Investor and click Update Profile Types:

To confirm the change, select Update.

Once you've updated, you can begin adding Personal and Partner investments by scrolling down the edit page.

Once finished, be sure to save your edits at the top right corner of the screen.
