How to Make Recommendations More Relevant

Crunchbase’s recommendations help you prospect faster by automating account discovery and qualification.

Each time you engage with recommendations, you’ll get even more tailored results! This machine learning-based model integrates multiple factors including:

  • Your activity in Crunchbase, including companies that you’ve viewed or saved to custom lists.
  • Your 'Territory Preferences', including company location (headquarters), company size (number of employees), and industry.

Use the interactive tiles at the top of your recommendations page to like company profiles you’re interested in, or dismiss irrelevant ones. With each dismissal, more recommendations will appear!

Your liked recommendations will appear below the tiles, where you can save to a list, push to your CRM, or remove them entirely if you changed your mind. You can also view recommended contacts for each company and identify the right decision-maker to reach out to.

If you're viewing from a profile page and you're interested in quickly learning about one of the companies, hover over the company name for a quick summary.

You can refine your recommendations by inputting territory preferences based on your ICP criteria (company size, headquarters location, industry). To learn more about this, click here!

Note, if you encounter an ‘error state’ of no additional recommendations, we suggest you update your territory preferences (from the top right side of the recommendations page) to expand the criteria and show additional recommendations.

Keep in mind, Crunchbase Pro and Enterprise users can expect a maximum of 70 recommendations per week - you can view your entire list if you'd like!

Free and Crunchbase Starter users will have access to 10 recommendations per week. To learn more about our products, click here
